#00001 — AMP #345 — Paul Selig — Seeing the Divine in All Things

The question that comes to my mind after listening to this podcast episode is: What do you perceive is missing in your life that brings into your awareness the notion of separation in your own house?

This are the key concepts that stuck:

• Surrendering to the uncertainty of the outcome of my actions is the biggest lesson in humility.
• Showing up is what drives success.
• Fear doesn’t rise above this plane of existence.
• Overcome the idea of separation in every aspect of your life: The only way on which humanity progresses comes from the internalization that the way forward is to accept that each of us is on his own progress. There was a part of the conversation on which they spoke about blaming other person for a lack of progress in any aspect of his life is a major drawback in my own progress, since each of us has a particular path of evolution, and what I have to do is to accept it and be able to tune into what that person is in that moment so that I can offer acceptance and compassion. That is the only thing that is needed from me, and I need to fully understand it, embrace it, and live by it, so that I can have fulfilling relationships with every person that I touch in my life.

As I’m writing this, I’m trying hard to remember what I just listened, and pieces of shame and disappointment are coming into my awareness because I don’t really do. I wanted to do this thing for a long time, writing about the episode after listening to it, and it is quite frustrating to be here and not know what I will write about. But that is really the interesting part, because doing it for the first time is actually showing up. This is what build up success. As I do it more and more, I will be able to better wrap my mind about what I just listened to, and be able to write about it in a way that makes sense given my own life experience. The idea with this project is to distill the conversation through my lens into whatever comes out of the other side, so there is not right or wrong, it is just my experience of it, and what comes into my mind when I sit down. My main mission from now on is to surrender into this process, and be able to realize that the only measure of success is actually doing the work, nothing less, nothing more. So smile JP, and embrace the fact that you are doing something that you wanted to do since a long time. Time will speak for itself, and you will get better at it. Don’t think that this is not good enough, for that is an interpretation that is based on fear of it not being as good as it could be. As you learned in the episode, anything that comes from fear is commanded for failure, and as you move through this path you will be able to understand that better.
